JIPMER has published its admission brochure for candidates allotted an MBBS seat at JIPMER Puducherry after the first round of MCC allotment. It applies to freeze candidates, in both the open All India and Puducherry UT domicile categories.
The window is 90 minutes, not a working day
Entry to the JIPMER Academic Centre opens at 9 am on each reporting date, and candidates arriving after 10.30 am will not be allowed in. They have to return the following day for the admission process. JIPMER states it will not be responsible for delays in a candidate’s arrival.
Reporting dates are 25, 27, 28, 29 and 31 August 2026. There is no reporting on 26 August, which is a public holiday.
The venue is the Mini Auditorium, fourth floor, JIPMER Academic Centre, Puducherry.
Two scheduling traps
29 August is a half working day. Candidates who report on the 29th have to come back on 31 August to complete the medical examination. Reporting late in the window therefore means two trips, not one.
JIPMER also advises candidates not to leave it to the final dates, so that the admission formalities can be finished in time.
Finish three things before you travel
1. Fill the online e-form. It is hosted on digialm and needs a recent passport-sized photograph uploaded. Give separate email addresses and mobile numbers for the candidate and the parent, and check both are accurate. Print the submitted form.
2. Pay the academic fee through SBI Collect. On State Bank Collect, choose Educational Institutions, search JIPMER, Pondicherry, then the “Academic fee – PHD MSC MPH MBBS BSC BASLP” option, and pay per the split given in the prospectus. The fee split is on page 16 of the JIPMER MBBS Puducherry prospectus 2026; ST candidates should read page 12 on exemption from the upfront admission-fee component.
Two warnings attached to this. Fees once paid are not refunded under any circumstances, and admission cannot be claimed on the basis of fee payment alone. Paying does not secure the seat; completing verification does.
3. Print and carry the forms. The submitted e-form, the fee payment receipt, the ID card form in block letters (Annexure 3), the hostel application form if applicable (Annexure 2, printed back to back), the honour code (printed back to back), and a copy of the anti-ragging undertaking from antiragging.in along with the linked Google form.
On the day
Show the allotment letter to security at the entrance. Carry a valid photo ID and the seat allotment order at all times. Only candidates are allowed inside the Academic Centre, with a separate waiting area for parents, so plan for a family member to wait outside.
