The State CET Cell, Maharashtra has extended NEET UG 2026 CAP-1 registration to 15 August 2026, 8 PM, and revised the MBBS/BDS (Group A) admission schedule. The change follows the Medical Counselling Committee’s decision to extend All India Quota counselling, announced through CET Cell Notice No. 08 dated 14 August 2026.
If you have not yet registered for Maharashtra’s state counselling (CAP), you now have until 15 August. Registration is only complete after you pay the fee and upload your documents, so do not leave it to the last minute.
Revised CAP-1 schedule (MBBS/BDS, Group A)
- Online registration and session apply: extended up to 15 August, 8:00 PM
- Payment of registration fee: up to 15 August, 10:00 PM
- Upload of scanned original documents: up to 15 August, 11:59 PM
- Online document verification: up to 17 August
- Registered candidate list and provisional merit list: 18 August
- Grievances/corrections (with proof): 19-20 August, up to 5:00 PM
- Final merit list and seat matrix: 21 August
- Online choice/preference filling: 22-24 August, up to 5:30 PM
- CAP Round 1 allotment: 25 August
- Physical joining at the allotted college (with originals and fee DD): 26-30 August, up to 5:30 PM
A candidate is treated as registered only after the registration fee is paid successfully. Anyone who does not upload the required documents will not be considered for admission from the claimed category, so upload coloured scans of all original documents on the portal.
NRI candidates
NRI candidates must register on the Foreign Candidate Registration Portal before 14 August 2026, 11:59 PM, to have their eligibility verified. The rest of their schedule is the same as above. See CET Cell Notice No. 04 for NRI eligibility and process.
This schedule can change on the direction of the MCC, AACCC, central or state government, or the courts. All other instructions from CET Cell Notice No. 03 continue to apply.
