The Directorate of Medical Education has postponed the first round seat allotment for MP State Combined NEET UG counselling 2026-27, which was scheduled for 20 August 2026.
The notice gives the reason as the revision in the time schedule of All India and state counselling by the MCC. A revised schedule for the first round of state counselling will be published shortly, and candidates are advised to stay in touch with the DME website and the MPOnline portal.
What this means if you have already filled choices
Nothing is cancelled. The allotment is deferred, not scrapped, and no new date has been given yet. There is no action to take today beyond watching for the revised schedule, and no advantage in changing anything in anticipation of it.
What is worth doing is checking that your filled choices are locked and your documents are in order, because when a postponed allotment is rescheduled the gap between announcement and allotment is usually short.
The change follows the Medical Counselling Committee revising the All India Quota and state counselling schedule on 19 August 2026. Most states are re-issuing their round 1 dates as a result, so check your own state even if you are not applying here.
