Karnataka NEET UG 2026: Roll Number Linking and Verification Dates

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has opened the window to link your NEET UG 2026 roll number in the CET 2026 application. If you have already applied for UGCET 2026, you must enter your NEET roll number in the KEA portal by 11 am on 5 August 2026. The window opened at 7 pm on 30 July. There is no fresh registration for this step; you log in and add the roll number.

These steps decide whether you can take part in Karnataka’s medical, dental and AYUSH counselling. Miss the roll number linking and your KEA application stays incomplete. Skip a verification you were asked to do and your seat claim can be rejected later. Here is what to do, and by when.

Key dates at a glance

  • Roll number linking: 30 July (7 pm) to 5 August (11 am) — enter your NEET UG 2026 roll number in the KEA portal login.
  • Server downtime: the KEA servers will not work on 2 August, 8 am to 12 noon. Plan around it.
  • Document verification slot booking: opens 2 August 2026 on the KEA website.
  • Document verification dates: 4 August to 8 August 2026, only for candidates who book a slot.
  • Special category certificate submission, PWD medical exam and Kannada language test: 5 August 2026 at KEA, Bangalore (details below).

Step 1: Link your NEET roll number

Candidates who already registered for UGCET 2026 should log in to the KEA portal and enter their NEET UG 2026 roll number. No fresh registration is allowed at this stage. After entering the roll number, download the application form and check that the printed NEET roll number is correct. Then download the UUGET application form from the KEA website.

Only candidates who scored the minimum qualifying marks in NEET UG 2026 can register for medical, dental, Ayurveda, Unani and Homoeopathy courses. The SC, ST and OBC eligibility applies only to SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka.

Step 2: Check if you need document verification

Not everyone has to appear. KEA says documents have already been verified online for most candidates, so there is no separate UGCET verification for them.

You do NOT need verification if:

  • You have already downloaded your verification slip. After entering the NEET roll number, download the verification slip again.
  • You registered newly and have not claimed any reservation.

You DO need verification if you qualified in NEET UG 2026, registered with KEA, entered your roll number, and fall in one of these groups:

  • NRI, NRI ward or Foreign National candidates who have made a claim.
  • Candidates who registered for CET 2026 but could not download the verification slip because a Kannada, Rural or Linguistic/Religious Minority claim was not verified.
  • Newly registered candidates with claims such as Kannada, Rural or Linguistic/Religious Minority.

The venue for these three groups is the Karnataka Examinations Authority, 18th Cross, Malleswaram, Bangalore.

Candidates who claimed Category RC-2 to RC-8 in St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore must appear at the Medical College Council Room, ground floor, St. John’s Medical College, Koramangala, Bengaluru. Category RC-1 and Category RC-9 candidates need not appear.

How to book your verification slot

Verification is in person only. No one can attend on your behalf. Book your slot using the “slot book” link on the KEA website from 2 August, then appear on your booked date between 4 August and 8 August. Before you go, read the information booklet dated 17 January 2026 on the KEA website for the list of original documents to carry.

Special category, PWD and Kannada test on 5 August

These apply mainly to newly registered Karnataka candidates and all happen on 5 August 2026 at KEA, Bangalore:

  • Special category certificates (NCC, Sports, Defence, Ex-Defence, Scouts & Guides, CAPF, Ex-CAPF, AGL): submit between 10 am and 2 pm. For Karnataka candidates only.
