Update — 16 August 2026: BFUHS has published the revised Round 1 merit list after considering objections, along with a revised NRI merit list and a correction to the Christian-minority (BDS) list. Separately, PwBD candidates must appear for medical assessment at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College & Hospital, Faridkot from 17 to 20 August 2026, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot has released the Round 1 provisional combined merit list for NEET UG 2026 MBBS and BDS admissions in Punjab. It has also published separate lists for the NRI quota and for minority-quota candidates, and a revised admission-criteria notification.
Which lists are out
- Provisional combined merit list for the state, showing each candidate’s merit number, NEET UG 2026 rank and marks, category, and eligibility for the 85% state-quota seats.
- NRI-quota merit list (dated 13 August 2026).
- List of eligible candidates for the Sikh Minority Quota (SMQ), called for verification.
- List of eligible and ineligible candidates under the Christian Minority (Category 2, with service commitment).
Alongside the lists, the Punjab Department of Medical Education and Research has issued a revised admission-criteria notification (dated 10 July 2026). It confirms that BFUHS Faridkot conducts the centralised counselling for all MBBS and BDS seats in the state’s government and private medical and dental colleges, that seats are filled on NEET merit, and that private and minority institutions are governed by the Punjab Private Health Sciences Educational Institutions Act, 2006 and its 2020 amendment.
What to do now
- Find your merit number in the combined list, and check whether you are marked eligible for the 85% state-quota seats.
- If you applied under the NRI or a minority quota, confirm your name in the relevant list and complete verification if you are called.
- Report any discrepancy to BFUHS within the objection window before the merit list is finalised.
